Dorothy Jean ‘DJ’ Bickers, 83, of Lindenhurst passed away on Friday, October 21, 2011 at Victory Lakes Continuing Care Center in Lindenhurst, IL. She was born in Houston, Texas onJuly 11, 1928, the daughter of the late Dorothy and Daniel Gorman. She graduated from the College of St. Teresa in Winona, MN and was a teacher in Fond du Lac, WS. She retired to St. Simon Island , GA and then to Pascagoula, MS. She is survived by her children, Daniel (Mary) Kerkman, Karen (David) Heil, Corinne (Mike) Keller, Joseph C. Kerkman and Carolyn Kerkman. 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Kenneth Bickers and Joseph B. Kerkman, and her son, Kevin , and her brother, John. Private family services will be held and burial will take place at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
