Barton W. Bock, 72, of Lindenhurst, IL, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2016. Bart was born July 10, 1944 in Yonkers, NY, the son of the late Joseph and Lillian Bock. He was a veteran of the United States Army and worked for many years as a chemist in the leather industry. Bart was a member of the Lindenhurst Men’s Club and a Scout Master for Troop 83. He was also an active member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church where he taught CCD. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Elizabeth; children Kenneth Bock, David Bock, Catherine Bock, and Pauline (William) Kralj; grandchildren Alex, Nicholas, Brandon, Justin, Anne, Lauren, and Grace; siblings George Bock and Phyllis Galura; and by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Joseph Bock. Visitation will be 4 – 8 p.m. on Friday, October 28, 2016 at Ringa Funeral Home, 122 S. Milwaukee Ave. Lake Villa, IL 60046. Prayers will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home followed by a procession to Prince of Peace Church for a 10 a.m. Mass. Burial will follow at Warren Cemetery in Gurnee, IL.
