    Charles Joseph Grasser

    February 28, 1950 - September 23, 2016

    Charles J. Grasser, 66, of Grayslake and formerly of Lindenhurst, IL passed away on September 23, 2016 at his home. Chuck was born in Woodstock, IL on February 28, 1950 the son of the late Raymond and Julia Grasser. He was a long time Lake County resident and attended Grant High School and the College of Lake County. He was an avid sports fan and dedicated baseball, iceless hockey, and football coach. He spent many years coaching the Antioch Raiders youth football team. Chuck was also a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Kathy; his children Brian (Michele) Grasser, Gerry Grasser, Scott Grasser, and Bob (Emma) Grasser; his grandchildren Ken, Payton, Gabriele, Jackson, Joey, Sam, Nicole, and Brenda; and by his sisters Janet Anderson and Judy Collins He was preceded in death by his son Kenny Grasser and his brother Gerry Grasser. Visitation will take place at Ringa Funeral Home 122 S. Milwaukee Ave. Lake Villa, IL 60046 from 4pm to 8pm on Thursday September 29, 2016. Additional visitation hours will be at the funeral home on Friday September 30, 2016 from 9am until the time of service at 10am. Burial will take place at Ascension Catholic Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers please consider a contribution in Chuck’s memory to a charity of your choice.
