Clyde Doucette
October 18, 2019
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Clyde N. Doucette, a hard-working and caring man. Clyde passed away on October 18, 2019. Clyde was born to Raymond and Irene Doucette in 1938 in Antigo, WI, the fifth of six children. In his adolescent years, he began to learn auto mechanics in his father's auto repair business. It was here, working on cars and out in the fields doing mobile farm equipment repairs, that Clyde developed his mechanical abilities. Clyde later moved to the Waukegan area where he raised his family. As a gifted mechanic, he made his career in machinery maintenance, retiring from the Zion nuclear power plant. Family was important to Clyde. He enjoyed family gatherings and events. He enjoyed his bowling league and playing cards with friends. Clyde enjoyed being outdoors, watching wildlife, and always grew a vegetable garden that grew so much, he had to work hard to find enough places to give it away. Clyde was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Irene Doucette, one sister Marie (Fred) Lindsey, and three brothers, Donald Doucette, James (Joyce) Doucette, and Eugene (Myra) Doucette. He is survived by his brother Gary (Pat) Doucette. He was also preceded in death by his former wife, Mary. He is survived by their two daughters Rita (Gary) Pensel and Lisa (Bill) Rhan. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Shirley and is survived by her children Kim Gates, Kathy Henson, Mark Schwingle, and Julie McKinley. Clyde is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Memorial visitation will be 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2019, at Ringa Funeral Home, 122 S. Milwaukee Ave. Lake Villa, IL 60046. A memorial service will begin at 12:30 p.m.
