Matthew Eric Braun age 22 of Lake Villa, passed away suddenly on Friday September 14, 2018. He was born on September 27, 1995 to Timothy and Karen Braun. He worked as a Lab Technician at UL in Northbrook. He enjoyed playing football first for the Timberwolves, then 4 years at Carmel Catholic High School and 4 years at Benedictine University. He loved camping, riding ATV’s, working out, target shooting and enjoyed taking road trips. He was the most easy going person and had a smile that lit up a room. He loved being around his friends and family and just enjoyed life. He is loved by his parents; brother Jerry; sister Abby; his girlfriend Bridget McKinnon; grandparents Elaine (the late Donald) Braun and Elaine (the late George) Momberger; aunts and uncles George "Unky Mike" (Cheryl) Momberger, Paul (Kerri) Momberger, Lisa (Ralph) Greipp, Tom (Cindy) Braun, Donald Braun Jr. and Sharon (Gary) Deeter. He is also survived and loved by many relatives and friends. Visitation will take place on Wednesday September 19, 2018 from 4 – 8 pm at Ringa Funeral Home 122 S Milwaukee Ave. Lake Villa, IL. Funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Thursday September 20 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Willow Lawn Memorial Park in Vernon Hills, IL.
