Ronald G. Neumann
July 3, 1938 - February 21, 2019
Ronald Gustaf Neumann, 80, of Lindenhurst passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2019. He was the cherished son of Albert and Alice who he rejoins in Heaven along with his siblings, Ray and Rich. To know Ron was a blessing and a gift. He was an extremely hard worker, a collector, an artist and a truly unique individual. Ron took pride in digging for bottles with his oldest son, being a part of the Chicago and N. Illinois Bottle Clubs, and creating his artful front and backyard in his home of 50 years with his soulmate, Kay. Ron loved his wife and his growing family. He enjoyed celebrating life-milestones, traveling with loved-ones and being annual snowbirds where he enjoyed looking for seashells and other treasures on the beach. His family will find comfort in great memories, the feeling of his longest hugs and knowing he is no longer in pain. He will be missed by many and will see him again, one day, in our Heavenly Home. We pray that he is finally feeling what it’s like to soar like the eagles he loved so much. Ron was a loving husband to Kay (Walter) for 60 incredible years. He was the devoted father of Mary (Fred) Bentel, Ronnie, Debbie (Kurt) Corcilius and Danny (Sheila); the special grandfather to Heather, Stephanie, Jenny, Sara and Danielle, the dear brother of Ruth (Mickey), Karin (Ken), Joann and Larry (Judy), and the fond cousin and uncle of many. Friends of the family may visit at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 1822 E. Grand Ave., Lindenhurst, IL, on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 10 a.m. prior to a funeral service at 11 a.m. A burial will follow at Millburn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family or the research fund at the American Cancer Society.
