Roy Allen Preece

March 26, 1967 - March 13, 2018

Roy Allen Preece, age 50 of Johnsburg, IL, passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2018. He was born in Fort Knox, KY, on March 26, 1967. Roy was full of candor and down-to-earth. He was loved by everyone and was known for his great sense of humor. He enjoyed traveling with his wife Cheryl, especially the yearly trip to Florida for their anniversary. Roy was an excellent cook, a big fan of the Chicago Cubs, and absolutely loved his Harley. Roy also enjoyed boating and fishing. He bled “Medline blue”, where he worked for over 20 years. He is survived by his wife of 18 years Cheryl; his step-children Christopher Walaszek and Alisha Walaszek; his grandchildren Kai Calacci, Sienna Walaszek, Coral Walaszek, Ayden Walaszek, and Aubri Walaszek; his parents Joseph Warden and Beverly Preece-Warden; and his siblings Pam (John) Cutler, Joey (Bill) Warden-Buntin, and Laura (Anthony) Leo. He was also an uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Virgil Preece. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Ringa Funeral Home, 122 S. Milwaukee Ave, Lake Villa, IL 60046. A service will begin at 7:30 pm. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society-Lake County Regional Office, 100 Tri-State International #125, Lincolnshire, IL 60069 or American Institute for Cancer Research, Dept. IHW1, 1759 R Street NW, Washington, DC 20009 would be appreciated.
