Thomas Edison Howen

Thomas Edison Howen, 73, arrived in heaven on May 8, 2022, surrounded by his family, at the home in Round Lake Beach where he lived for 43 years. He was born December 9, 1948, and his birthplace of Florence County, Wisconsin will also be his final resting place. He was the 13th child of 15 children. Tom was a man with a great sense of humor and was never a complainer. He had much willpower and if you were loved by him, you were blessed. He was a hero to his children, a protector to his wife, his grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s biggest fan, and a friend to all. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a regular at all the family parties. He loved playing cards with his siblings and bonding with his brothers hunting. He was a simple man, never asking for much. He was a hardworking man who supported his family as a union bricklayer. He touched the hearts of everyone he met. He was loved by many and will be missed. Tom will be reunited with his parents Edwin and Clara (nee Schroeder) along with his two sisters Edwina and Gurtrude and six brothers Edwin Jr., Benny, Richard, Roland, Art, and Dale. Tom married Geri Klemp on September 28, 1968, and together they had three children: Todd (Jill), Tonya (Mike), and Troy. He had nine grandchildren, Jordan, Kaytlyn (Guillermo), Lauren, Elizabeth, Mason, Rylee, Grayson, Alex, and Tyler; and four great-grandchildren Avah, Olivia, Ezra, and Catalina. He is also survived by his siblings Jim, Alley (Kim), George (Bev), Audry, Lloyd (Cathy), and Donnie (Betty). All services will be private.
