    Virgilio M Feliciano

    May 9, 1948 - October 14, 2020

Virgilio “Viyo” Feliciano, 72 of Lake Villa, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2020. He was born in Manila, Philippines on May 9, 1948 to Alfredo Feliciano and Trinidad Mancilla Feliciano, who preceded him in death. After working as a money market officer in Manila, Virgil and his loving wife of 44 years, Agnes Feliciano (née Espina) immigrated with their sons Paolo and Jonas to the United States in 1984 to fulfill their American dreams. An avid musician, singer and artist, Virgil was known among family and friends as the showstopper at karaoke gatherings, belting out hits by artists ranging from James Taylor to Lionel Ritchie to Michael Bublé. He was also an accomplished photographer, rarely seen at family events without his trusted Nikon SLR around his neck. Virgil is survived by his wife, Agnes, sons Paolo (Aneysa) Feliciano and Jonas (Amanda) Feliciano. As the eldest of eight, he is affectionately known as “Kuya” to brothers and sisters Willie (Tess) Feliciano, Charito (Henry) Sanchez, Lydia (Jun) Angeles, Carlito (Laurie) Feliciano, Susan (Lito) Martinez, Irene Feliciano and Tina Feliciano. He also came to be known as “Lolo” to his four grandchildren Jack, Gabriel, Alden and Nolan. Visitation & Rosary Prayer will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 starting at 10AM until Catholic Funeral Mass at 12:00 Noon at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church 40000 N, US-45, Old Mill Creek, IL. For those attending, please observe social distancing guidelines and wear masks. Everyone can attend the funeral mass via live cast on facebook.com/RingaFH. A private internment will be held at a later date and a full celebration of his life will occur in 2021. The family would like to thank the hundreds of caregivers, nurses, doctors and rehabilitation specialists for their dedication to Virgil’s health and care over the last 20 years.
