JUTTA CZERKIES November 12, 1943 – March 12, 2026 Jutta Czerkies, age 82, of Lake Villa, passed away on Thursday March 12, 2026. Jutta was born November 12, 1943 in Germany, the daughter of the late Jozef and Anna Rocko. Born during the war, Jutta crossed many boundaries. She lived in Poland, where she finished grammar school, and later moved to Germany where she received her high school diploma. At the age of 19, she immigrated to Chicago. Jutta married and had two children, Heidi and Ron. She worked for 25 years at an electronics company called Safco. After 24 years of being so far away from the kids, she moved to Lake Villa. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and painting. Jutta later found a fulfilling job at Victory Lakes and joined Prince of Peace Parish. In 2009, she met the love of her life, “Tadziu” Ted Czerkies. In 2016, Jutta experienced the best day of her life when Tadziu and Jutta were married and their family grew. They spent many wonderful times together. God brought them together and they were blessed with the time they had. They loved the Lord and each other. Their paths had crossed many times while living in Chicago, but in the end God found a way for them to unite. Her heart was broken when he passed away, but she knew he was greeted with love and peace by the Lord with open arms. She believed that when she leaves this earth, she will leave her family, extended family, and friends in God’s hands. She is survived by her children, Heidi (Fred) Capaccio, Ron (Carol) Siedler, Diane (Gary) Link, and Chrissy (PJ) Ronayne; grandchildren Alexandra (Pat) Stephan, Natalie (Drew Floyd) Stephan, Christian Stephan, Monika Siedler, Ryan (Jackie) O’Malley, Colin O’Malley, Maddie (Dylan) Link, and Molly Hanrahan, and great-grandchildren Penelope Stephan, Everett O’Malley, Emerson O’Malley, Blakley Hanrahan and Everley Hanrahan. Visitation will be 1 - 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, 2026 at Ringa Funeral Home in Lake Villa, IL. Funeral Mass will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 16, 2026 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Maryhill Cemetery in Niles, IL.
