Robert Olen Schneberger, age 29, passed away on January 10, 2026. He was born on August 29, 1996, in Lake Forest, Illinois. Robert grew up in Lake Villa, Illinois, with his loving parents, Kathleen and Robert Schneberger, and his brother, Joshua. He shared many cherished memories with family and friends, especially playing at Chesney Park, where his love for fun, connection, and the outdoors first took root. Robert shared his life and his heart with his beloved girlfriend, Kylinn Cobb, with whom he created countless memories filled with laughter, love, and adventure. Whether they were spending time together in the garage, hosting friends, or riding his golf cart around the neighborhood, Robert loved having people around. Time with him always turned into an adventure—you never quite knew where the day would lead, but you knew it would be fun. He attended Lakes Community High School and went on to earn an associate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the College of Lake County. Robert pursued his passion professionally, working in mechanical engineering and later with JLL. A truly down-to-earth and fun-loving soul, Robert was someone you could always count on. He was the life of the party, and if Robert wasn’t going, you didn’t want to go either. He had a rare ability to light up every room and bring people together effortlessly. Robert lived life to the fullest in every way possible. He loved being on the water and spent his summers boating on the Chain O’ Lakes. In the winter, he lived for snowmobiling with his friends and his brother. His home with Kylinn was always open, and his presence made every gathering better. Above all, Robert was kind, thoughtful, and always willing to help others. His generosity, loyalty, and carefree spirit left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Robert would want to be remembered as the carefree, outgoing person he always was—full of life, laughter, and love. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched. Visitation will be 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at Ringa Funeral Home in Lake Villa, IL. Cremation will take place privately after the service.
