William 'Bill' Musak

William ("Bill") G. Musak, 79, of Old Mill Creek, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Bill was born in Chicago on September 20, 1946, to Frank and Frances Musak (née Fleck). He grew up near Midway Airport before moving to Fox Lake and, ultimately, Old Mill Creek. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Linda; his siblings, Gerald (Karen) Musak, Mary Hounshell, Michael Musak, and Dorothy (Robert) Fortier; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, James Musak, Donald Musak, and Theodore ("Ted") Musak. After graduating from Tilden Technical High School, Bill attended the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts before beginning a successful career as a graphic artist and package designer. Among his clients were Lefton Collectibles, Discovery Channel, and The Walt Disney Company. Later, he and Linda opened The Glass Palette Stained Glass Studio in Millburn, where they shared their creativity and love of art with the community. Bill was a longtime member and former officer of the Gages Lake Snowmobile Club, Century Divers Scuba Club, and the Historic Millburn Community Association. He was also a member of the Leisure Village bowling team and the creative force behind many Friends of the Lake County Discovery Museum gala fundraisers. Some of Bill's greatest joys were welcoming family and friends to his Monday dinners, always taking the scenic route, navigating waterways in his boat, trespassing the world, and enjoying all things Sherlock Holmes. He will be remembered most for his kind spirit, generous heart, and seemingly endless supply of hugs. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Bill's life on Monday, July 13, 2026, at Valley Ridge Golf Course, 40150 N Illinois 59, Antioch, Illinois.
